Trick or Treat

Last night Lexi "the tiger" met her friends Ella and Colten to go trick or treating. Each door Lexi went to she tried to invite her self into the house - once she got some candy in her bag she would sit it down and check out what was there :)

It is cute that Lexi knows her little friends - she gets excited when she sees them out. When Ella sees Lexi she yells down the street "Hey its me Ella - Hi Lexi! " so cute. Both Ella & Colten are 2 but Lexi fits right in.

Travel

Sorry for the lack in posting - we have been super busy traveling with work and for fun. A couple weeks ago I went to Washington DC for one night and Eddie left the same morning to go to Mexico for 3 nights. Then that weekend we went to Atlanta for one night - a fun trip! This week I have been in San Destin FL with work (2 nights) it was hard to leave Lexi but I made the most of my time while I was there. I rented a bike and rode around the resort for about an hour then got brave and rented a kayak and went out on the ocean!! I saw some dolphins and there were fish jumping out of the water (good thing they did not fly into my kayak!! :) Anyway I am glad to be back home! And a HUGE thanks to my mom & dad and Eddies mom for taking care of Alexis! What a blessing to have such wonderful and loving grandparents!

Easter Pictures

We spent Easter with Aunt Lori, Uncle JJ (Julian) & the Barkat family (Julian's parents, sister & brother). We love spending time with the Barkats - such a sweet family.


After dinner we decorated Easter eggs. I am not sure who won the contest?

So excited

Sleeping has gone really well! Not sure why I am surprised? She is such a good baby. Mostly I am excited for Alexis - I think she is sending a message to us "thanks for finally letting me sleep in my own bed and have some room too stretch" :) The second night she slept from 10pm-5am! The third night (9pm-6am) we threw her off though because we went out of town (she slept with us) but last night she went to bed at 8:30pm and it is now 5:40am and she is still sleeping!!
It is so funny the things we find exciting as a new parent! So fun!

Sleeping

Last night Lexi slept in her own room for the first time (we slept in the guest room next door)-yes she is almost six months old :) She didn't sleep through the whole night but that is to be expected since she is getting used to new surroundings. I rocked her a little then put her in her crib semi asleep so she would know mommy is laying you down now. Then she quietly fell asleep. I was so proud! I was telling Eddie my technique not long after she was awake again.

Throughout the night I woke up to give her the paci or fed her - I did pick her up a rock her and we fell asleep on the recliner then by the morning 6:00am she was in bed with me. -Rocking her in the recliner then bringing her to bed bad idea I know. She did sleep in her crib from 1:00am-6:00am!

at this moment she is taking a nap in her crib.....

Sweet Dreams

One thing Lexi enjoys (like her mommy) is sleep! She has been a good sleeper since the beginning - lets hope it continues?

I love how peaceful and sweet she looks as she is sleeping. Sometimes I wonder what she is dreaming of....
