Summer FUN

This was Lexis' first time at the beach - so sweet seeing her share this with Papi.











We had a great time at the beach! Alexis loved swimming, playing in the sand and bike riding :) We rented a bike to ride around the area - eddie rode with Alexis. He doesnt trust me to have her on my bike (i have had a few falls). Alexis loved riding bikes - well when she was awake! It only took a few minutes and she was out!


Poor baby her head kept falling down -she was so sleepy! So Eddie set her up.

I am catching up on blogging about our summer of fun! In June, Eddie's dad, Rosa, Rosita and Jose flew in from San Antonio, TX and spent a few days in Nashville then we spend the end of the week in McKenzie. We LOVED having them here and look forward to seeing them again soon. Here are some pictures....

Hola!

I love this picture of Lexi. I have some recent ones I want to post but we are having some major computer issues that we hoped to get fixed this week!

We had a great time this past week, Lexi met her abuelo, Rosa, Rosita & Jose! They came in from San Antonio to spend a week with the family. We showed them around Nashville, Opryland Hotel, had a picnic at the lake, then spent some time in McKenzie. Lexi just loved all the attention.

Update on what Alexis is doing now.... she has one tooth and one making its way through - she is actually handling it really well. She has been crawling for about a month now - as soon as she figured out how to crawl she was climbing stairs and pulling up on anything she could find. She is walking from one end of the couch to the other. She talks all the time da da da and most recently we think she said HOLA :) She loves fruit, I have the cutest picture of her eating a strawberry!

I hope to share pictures & videos of all the wonderful moments soon.

Mother's Day Weekend

Alexis is officially mobile. It really seemed to happen over night. Last week she took 3 crawls forward - we were so excited. The next night she is all over the house! She is into everything!

This past weekend we celebrated mothers day with my mom at one of her favorite restuarant Puffy Muffin in Brentwood. It was nice to celebrate with mom.

Sunday we visited with Eddie's family each year the guys grill out for the moms. It was a beautiful day! Lexi loved spending time with her cousins. She was pushed around in the stroller, walked around with her cousins - it was non-stop but she loves every minute. Poor baby girl was so worn out by time we headed home but I have to say she really is a trooper.

Travel

Sorry for the lack in posting - we have been super busy traveling with work and for fun. A couple weeks ago I went to Washington DC for one night and Eddie left the same morning to go to Mexico for 3 nights. Then that weekend we went to Atlanta for one night - a fun trip! This week I have been in San Destin FL with work (2 nights) it was hard to leave Lexi but I made the most of my time while I was there. I rented a bike and rode around the resort for about an hour then got brave and rented a kayak and went out on the ocean!! I saw some dolphins and there were fish jumping out of the water (good thing they did not fly into my kayak!! :) Anyway I am glad to be back home! And a HUGE thanks to my mom & dad and Eddies mom for taking care of Alexis! What a blessing to have such wonderful and loving grandparents!

Easter Pictures

We spent Easter with Aunt Lori, Uncle JJ (Julian) & the Barkat family (Julian's parents, sister & brother). We love spending time with the Barkats - such a sweet family.


After dinner we decorated Easter eggs. I am not sure who won the contest?

Weekend in Philly

We have had a few computer problems - hopefully to be fixed soon. I am able to get on today for some reason so I wanted to post an update on Alexis' first FLIGHT!



We went to Philly for Easter to visit Aunt Lori and Uncle JJ. Alexis did really well on the flight there she was so excited to check everything and everyone out. She made friends with the lady sitting next to Eddie (she didnt seem to mind) she even held Alexis for a little bit. It was a 2 hour flight after about an hour and a half of Lexi up & down standing, sitting they announced we were starting our decent - then Lexi fell asleep - at least we got 15 minutes of rest :) The flight back was another story - Lexi was so worn out she sleep the whole time.

We had a great time in Philly - we also spent Friday in NY. Lexi is such a trooper she hung out in the baby bjorn all day with Papi and LOVED it. She was off and on the tour bus, rode on a train and didnt complain all day.





Thanks Aunt Lori & Uncle JJ for having us. We enjoyed spending time with you!

Beautiful

The weather has been wonderful this week! Lexi & I enjoyed the beautiful day Wednesday and walk down to the park to meet some friends. Lexi loved swinging..

That afternoon we made our way to Nana's house to visit with some of her "Craft Club" girls. "Craft Club" so they call it (there are no crafts involved just lunch and/or shopping -well there might have been some crafts being made at the beginning?) they have been meeting for twenty something years, they were friends when they had babies and now their babies are getting married and starting families of their own. Here is Lexi with a fellow
craftie grandbaby Parker.

Also the last few weeks Lexi has started rice cereal, squash and now zuchinni! So far she loves it all - no yucky faces yet :) Actually we are going to start having to feed her more she has been a little piggy this week. I am going to start her eating cereal and or a vegetable for lunch and dinner. She is growing up so fast!

Thanks to my friend Andie I got some great prices on flights to PA. On her blog she wrote about the great deals you can get if you sign up for Southwest DING. It is worth looking into!
